Welcome to William’s Fund, Inc.
We are a 501(c)(3) organization created to provide students at Old Rochester Regional School High School the resources they need to thrive.
It could be heating oil, during the winter months. Or it may be a field trip fee, to send a student to a museum with her classmates. It could mean a gift card for groceries.
Nothing should keep our students from showing up ready to learn – and if we work together, nothing will.
History
William’s Fund was started in 2010 by a teacher and her family to facilitate community donations to families and students in need of a little support or emergency assistance.
In order to facilitate our confidential distributions to students and families, we collaborate with a small number of school staff to understand local needs.
In 2018, we received our 501(c)(3) status. We are building awareness around the diverse needs of our community, raising funds to meet them, and confidentially matching our resources to those who need them.
We believe in community engagement. If we commit to and invest in our students and schools, they will be stronger and more successful.
Our fundraising and resource mobilization strategy revolves around partnerships with local organizations and grassroots support from individual community members. Monetary donations allow us to match resources immediately and directly to our community's needs.
Additionally, William’s Fund is engaging community members in new ways to leverage unique skill sets, interests, and available resources.
